a drift on faith

Religious faith is a raft 
          that floats 
upon the fear fogged ocean 
      of uncertainty. 

To get to shore, 
one must eventually 
                                step off the raft, 
for the raft
is not the shore
                    until 
              one
     realizes 
               that the ocean 
is an illusion, 
as is the shore, 
and the need for a raft.
